As some of you may have known, It was my birthday on 5/6. If you have not been observant enough, shame on you.

As some others have also known, I recently passed the armed guard class and shooting proficiency exam. Now, for myself shortly before my birthday I took a hefty amount of my already hefty tax return to buy a new pistol to use for my job. I made one mistake I'll never make again. My problems are not necessarily with the gun itself.

Problem one, (edit: Resolved): I had bought one of the newest models Taurus has. Now, since I'm using this for an armed guard position, I need a level 2 or 3 retention holster. Since this is a newer model, The holster that fit the gun was very hard to find. After multiple visits to three gun stores, and two hours of searching online, I found this. $70 bucks for a damn retention holster. And that's the holster only. The belt I will also need and that's another $50 something.

Problem two (not resolved): Now that I have the certificate from the armed guard class, I still need to go to Concord to get my security license anew. This, is proving to be impossible. They told me to call before I go up there to make an appointment for the fingerprinting and whatnot. I'll get to the point. I started calling them at 9am today. I left a message and continued trying to get through to the department of safety for the better part of the morning. I must have called at least fifty times. Long story short, They don't answer their fucking phones and I'm about to go up there on Monday without calling. I did not get to speak to anyone there the entire fucking business day because these overpaid fuck tards don't want to answer their phones or do any other work and still make 70 fucking K a year.

I'll remember that next time they want to raise my taxes. Anyways I'll go down there on Monday and refuse to leave until they take my application. If they say anything about me not making the appointment... I would just need to say, "I did call. I left a message. I called 40 to 50 more fucking times. Nobody answered the phone. How am I supposed to get my security license if the person answering the phone only takes 1 fucking call per hour!" *sigh*

And to make matters worse, they called me back 5 hours after my first message. But get this, I went downstairs where there is no cell reception for 10 minutes. They managed to call me in that ten minute window so all I ever got was a voice mail meaning that I had to call them again and start at the end of the list.

Ok, enough of that. I'm done with that rant... I think.

I was going to write about something else as well, but I can't remember.
